Because of the rain I visited the Bizen Osafuna Sword Museum near Okayama instead of visiting an island shrine that I had planned too. Bizen is one of the ancient sword manufacturing areas and they still make blades here - mostly for the kitchen. The museum had swords dating from the 13th century up to one produced here in the last decade.
