Tonight I'm going to Moriya Restaurant for Kobe beef cooked on a teppenyaki. Teppenyaki just means grilled on a hotplate. It doesn't involve any of the theatrics we get at most Teppenyaki restaurants in Australia as that's as Japanese as California rolls - American not Japanese. What you do get is a highly professional chef cooking you steak just as you want it. Here's my piece of Kobe beef just before it meets the hotplate
