We are staying overnight in Awazu Onsen at a ryokan or Japanese inn called Houshi. Houshi has been run by the same family for 46 generations since it opened in 718 and is one of the oldest continuous running hotels in the world. They remembered me from the previous two timrs I've stayed here. The food and the baths are wonderful.
