After breakfast at a nearby Yoshiniya beefbowl restaurant we went shopping at Akihabara electric town. Most of the shopping was at Yodabashi Camera, a discount electronics store chain (Think JB Hifi but much much bigger). It's still hot & humid here so at one stage we stopped for drinks as Graeme was curious about the AKB48 cafe. AKB48 is a pop idol group here and has it's own cafe (It started with 48 girls in Akihabara)
Akihabara is very much one if the centres for Japanese pop culture in Tokyo so we continued to look around.
We stopped at a maid cafe for lunch. The staff at these cafe's dress as maids and play cute little games with the customers - all pretty sweet and innocent and an interesting look at how some Japanese relax. (The pose in the photos is a classic cat pose as was accompanied with either a meow or nyan(Japanese for meow))
